While Artificial Intelligence is being used in a myriad of ways to enhance our lives, one thing to watch is the way in which it has already begun to cross the line into creating life itself. Of course, that is a long way off, if it ever comes to pass. However, a recent article startled me in how AI is being used to generate lifelike images of people based solely on an algorithm of what a person “should” look like.
This month, NVidia published a paper on how they interpret basic facial structures and can insert randomness in the facial structures to simulate lifelike features. I expect in the next year, we can see films or other AI uses of non-humans taking on a human role.
